These Terms govern the EVPN website, the EVPN iOS application and VPN service, and any other EVPN client that is later made available through the Download page (together, the Service).

EVPN is a free, privacy-first VPN. The current service has no paid plan, recurring subscription, checkout or in-app purchase.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use EVPN on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. In that case, “you” includes the organisation.

App-store, operating-system and device-provider terms may also apply to your download and use of an EVPN application. Those third-party terms do not replace these Terms.

2. Who may use EVPN

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. EVPN is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use EVPN only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from receiving it or if FinDech UAB has previously suspended your access for a serious or repeated violation.

3. What the Service does

EVPN creates an encrypted tunnel between a supported device and an EVPN VPN gateway. Traffic then exits through shared VPN infrastructure. The iOS application uses Apple’s Network Extension framework and a WireGuard-based tunnel implementation.

Depending on the client and network state, EVPN may provide:

  • Automatic or manual VPN-location selection
  • Physical and clearly labelled virtual VPN locations
  • Private DNS inside the tunnel
  • Full-tunnel routing and leak-reduction controls
  • A destination map and connection-status information
  • Clearly labelled commercial placements on EVPN-owned surfaces

A preview on evpn.com does not establish a VPN tunnel. Platform availability, minimum system requirements and official download links are shown on the Download page. The iOS application is the current EVPN client; Windows, macOS, Android, Linux or other clients are covered by these Terms when they are released.

4. Free service and commercial placements

EVPN is currently free. There is nothing to cancel and no refund process because EVPN does not currently charge users.

The Service may be funded by placements labelled Sponsored, Affiliate, Partner offer or From FinDech. A placement may generate revenue for FinDech UAB when it is displayed, clicked or results in an eligible outcome. Commercial placements:

  • Appear only on EVPN-owned website or application surfaces
  • Are kept separate from connection controls, permission prompts, security warnings and connection errors
  • Do not change tunnel routing, encryption, DNS behaviour, location ordering or connection quality
  • Are not selected using browsing history, DNS queries, packet contents or internet destinations

The Privacy Policy explains the limited context used for placement selection and measurement. If EVPN introduces a paid feature in future, its price, billing terms and any cancellation rights will be presented before purchase and these Terms will be updated as required.

5. Installations, credentials and VPN configuration

The current iOS application does not require an account, name, email address or payment information to connect. The Service creates a random installation record and device-generated cryptographic credentials so the application can authenticate tunnel requests. These credentials are not transferable.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and for installing security and application updates made available through the relevant official distribution channel.

When you first connect, iOS may ask for permission to add an EVPN VPN configuration. EVPN cannot provide a tunnel unless that system permission is granted. You can disable or remove the VPN configuration through iOS settings, but doing so will stop VPN functionality until it is configured again.

If EVPN later introduces optional accounts, account-specific terms and an account-deletion mechanism will be presented before the feature is used. An optional account will not retroactively change the terms that applied to account-free use.

6. Licence to use the applications

Subject to these Terms, FinDech UAB grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use an official EVPN application for lawful purposes on devices you control.

Except where applicable law expressly allows it, you must not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease or sublicense an EVPN application
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from a distributed binary
  • Remove proprietary, attribution or disclosure notices
  • Impersonate EVPN or create a misleadingly similar service
  • Resell, share or operate EVPN as a public proxy, commercial relay or managed access service without written permission
  • Interfere with application signing, update, allocation, rate-limit, promotion-disclosure or security controls

Open-source components remain governed by their applicable licences.

7. Your responsibilities

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and all laws that apply to you. Laws concerning VPN availability and use differ by country and can change. EVPN does not provide legal advice or guarantee that use of a VPN is lawful in every territory or for every purpose.

You are responsible for:

  • Your activity through the Service
  • The legality of content you access, transmit or make available
  • Protecting your device from unauthorised access and malicious software
  • Checking whether a third-party service permits access through a VPN
  • Choosing an appropriate destination and understanding when a location is labelled virtual or partner-managed

EVPN may apply reasonable technical limits, including limits on concurrent tunnels, allocation lifetime, automated requests or abusive traffic, to keep the free shared service available and secure.

8. Privacy and security limitations

The Privacy Policy describes the information EVPN processes and the information the VPN data plane is designed not to log.

A VPN improves privacy on the path between your device and the VPN gateway, but it does not make you anonymous. EVPN cannot guarantee protection from:

  • Identification after you sign in to a website or service
  • Browser or device fingerprinting performed by sites you visit
  • Cookies or trackers already present on your device or browser
  • Malware, phishing or compromised applications
  • Traffic analysis by a sufficiently capable observer
  • Plaintext traffic after it leaves the VPN gateway
  • Lawful seizure, blocking or disruption of infrastructure

EVPN has not been independently audited as a no-logs VPN at the date of these Terms. Security descriptions are statements of current design and operational policy, not a guarantee that software or infrastructure can never fail.

9. VPN locations and destination services

Location names describe the VPN location offered in the interface. A location marked virtual may exit elsewhere in the same stated country rather than from the named city. A location marked partner-managed uses infrastructure operated with a network partner. Labels in the application control which representation applies.

EVPN does not guarantee that a particular public IP address, city, country, gateway or route will remain available. IP geolocation databases can be inaccurate or slow to update. Third-party sites may block VPN traffic, display a different location, require additional verification or refuse access.

EVPN does not guarantee access to a streaming catalogue, financial service, game, marketplace or any other third-party service. You remain subject to that service’s terms.

10. Availability, updates and changes

EVPN is provided without a service-level agreement or guaranteed uptime. We may add, remove, replace, limit, suspend or retire gateways, locations, protocols, features or platform clients for security, maintenance, legal, capacity or product reasons.

The Service may be interrupted by device settings, network conditions, roaming, captive portals, internet blocking, infrastructure failure or circumstances outside our reasonable control. You should not rely on EVPN as the only protection for emergency, life-safety or other high-risk activity.

We may require an application update when an older build is no longer secure or compatible. Planned or research features described on the website are not commitments to deliver them on a particular date.

The Service relies on operating-system, app-store, hosting, data-centre and network providers. Their own terms may apply to their services.

Commercial placements and other links may open an external website in your browser. FinDech UAB does not control and is not responsible for that site’s content, availability, security, products, representations or privacy practices. A disclosure label describes EVPN’s commercial relationship; it is not an endorsement or warranty.

You should review the third party’s terms and privacy policy before providing information or completing a transaction.

12. Intellectual property and feedback

EVPN software, branding, designs, website content and other materials are owned by FinDech UAB or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant FinDech UAB a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use them to operate and improve EVPN without identifying you publicly or creating an obligation to compensate you. This does not transfer ownership of personal data submitted with a support request; the Privacy Policy still applies.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using EVPN at any time by disconnecting, removing the VPN configuration and uninstalling the application.

FinDech UAB may limit, suspend or revoke an installation’s access when reasonably necessary to:

  • Enforce these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Respond to serious or repeated abuse reports
  • Protect users, shared IP reputation, infrastructure or third parties
  • Comply with a valid legal requirement
  • Address a security incident or material operational risk

Where practical and lawful, enforcement will be proportionate to the available evidence. Because the Service is account-free, advance or individual notice may not always be possible.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law—remain effective.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. FinDech UAB does not make warranties about uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, a particular speed, latency, IP address, location result, anonymity, censorship resistance, third-party compatibility or fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinDech UAB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from use or inability to use the Service.

For claims that may lawfully be limited, the aggregate liability of FinDech UAB relating to the free Service will not exceed EUR 100.

These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory data-protection obligations, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, law, security or business model. We will publish the revised version and update the date above. If a change materially reduces user rights or materially changes the Service, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible or legally required.

Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms means you accept them. If you do not accept a revision, stop using the Service.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Vilnius, Lithuania have jurisdiction, except that a consumer may bring a claim in the courts and rely on the mandatory consumer protections available under the law of the consumer’s habitual residence where applicable law provides that right.

Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. This does not limit a statutory right to complain to a regulator or bring proceedings without first contacting us.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent; FinDech UAB may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganisation or transfer of the EVPN business, subject to applicable law.
